Featured Region

We are thrilled to welcome you to our next stop: the region of Trentino-Alto Adige.

Trentino-Alto Adige, nestled in the northernmost part of Italy, is a region of striking contrasts, blending dramatic alpine landscapes with verdant valleys and picturesque villages. Bordered by Austria to the north and Switzerland to the west, the region consists of two distinct provinces: Trentino, with its Italian heritage, and Alto Adige, where German and Ladin cultures are predominant. The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rise majestically to the east, while serene lakes, such as Lake Garda, enhance the region's diverse terrain. This natural beauty attracts outdoor enthusiasts year-round, with opportunities for skiing, hiking, and cycling through vineyards and orchards.

The cuisine of Trentino-Alto Adige is a delightful fusion of Italian and Central European flavors. Rustic dishes like speck (smoked cured ham) and canederli (bread dumplings) reflect its alpine roots, while risotto and polenta highlight its Italian influence. The region's wine culture is equally impressive, producing some of Italy's finest varietals. Trentino is renowned for its sparkling Trentodoc wines, made using the traditional method, while South Tyrol excels in aromatic whites like Gewürztraminer and full-bodied reds such as Lagrein.
